Richard L. Trader MMsc PA-C FCCM - Director
Richard founded Cardiophonics in July 1985. He brings over 30 years of clinical experience
and medical administration to the position. He is the developer of the Cardiophonics
digital monitoring systems and holds various patents on technology breakthroughs within
the cardiac physiology market. His original research programs centered on mass spectrometry,
conducted at Brown University during the late 1970s. He developed the first School of
Repspiratory Therapy in Maryland which has now graduated over 6,000 students. In 2003, he
was elected as a Fellow of the Society of Critical Care Medicine which recognized his role
as a pioneer in allied health education.
He is the former administrative director of Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care and
Anesthesia at a large metropolitan institution. As a senior house officer for anesthesia,
and a lecturer at John Hopkins Medical School on mechcanical ventilation, he served within
a 25 bed ICU for over twenty years. A member of the President's medical team while in
military service and a former combat medic, Richard holds a Bachelors of Science in
Respiratory Medicine and a Masters in Medical Sciences. He is a Registered Respiratory
Therapist, Physician Assistant and is board credentialed in surgery
Lynn K. Trader BS RN CCRN - V.P Clinical Operations
Lynn is a 194 graduate of St. Josephs School of Nursing and BS Degree in Nursing
from Towson State University. She spent much of her career in intensive care settings as
both staff and clinical instructor. She holds a critical care certification as a nursing
expert in intensive care medicine. She co-founded Cardiophonics in 1985 and has continues
to coordinate the clinical care of the Cardiophonics center.
