A New Model of Care
Healthcare is at a unique crossroad. Providers face a multitude of pressures from every direction- patients, personnel and government. They must deal with a shrinking pool of clinicians, an aging more chronically ill population, tighter regulations, and declining reimbursement. How providers choose to meet these challenges and continue to provide outstanding health care will be the deciding factor in many organizations future success or failure. This is not a topic for idle speculation, it is essential to begin formulating a plan to handle these challenges now. Our belief is that that we must move away from reactive care to a proactive care mode, in a proactive system where patients take a greater part in their own disease management and clinicians can monitor patients more closely, which enables them to provide preventative intervention before situations become acute. Cardiophonics can achieve these goals for themselves and their patients by using technology- specifically, interactive telehealth technology and communication networks to bring patient and clinical staff together to achieve clinical innovations.
